Union of Iraq Importers and exporters erbil branch Continues to Strengthen International Trade Relations
The Erbil Branch of the Kurdistan Region Importers and Exporters continues its efforts to expand international relations and build bridges of cooperation with prominent figures and stakeholders in the commercial, economic, and international spheres.
On 10 August 2026, in the presence of Mr. Rasoul Haji Omar, President of the Erbil Branch of the Kurdistan Region Importers and Exporters , a warm welcome was extended to Ms. Sidika Šire, along with a number of Kurdish businesspeople, during a meeting focused on strengthening trade relations and cooperation between Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the Republic of Türkiye.
At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Erbil Branch expressed his pleasure at welcoming the delegation and emphasized the importance of further developing commercial and economic relations between the Kurdistan Region and Türkiye, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, economic cooperation, international relations, and the exchange of expertise.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of maintaining continuous communication among business communities and facilitating the exchange of experience and information, with the aim of creating new opportunities for cooperation, developing joint commercial projects and activities, and expanding investment opportunities between the two sides.
Concluding the meeting, the President of the Erbil Branch reaffirmed the commitment to supporting every initiative that brings the Kurdistan Region’s business community closer to international markets and institutions, while opening new avenues for trade, investment, and sustainable economic partnerships.
