Visit of the Delegation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye to the Union of Iraq Importers and Exporter – Erbil Branch
On 27 August 2026, the Erbil Branch of the Kurdistan Region Importers and Exporters Union welcomed a delegation from the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Erbil.
The delegation was received at the Erbil Branch headquarters in the presence of Mr. Rasoul Haji Omer, President of the Erbil Branch of the Kurdistan Region Importers and Exporters and ( Mr. Sheikh Khalid Werti ), Vice President of the Branch; and (Dr. Shwan Sherzad Sheikh and Mr. Heyman Ramadan Mustafa ) Members of the Administrative Board
The visit was held within the framework of strengthening trade and economic relations, and on the occasion of the completion of the duties of Mr. Kemal Beg, Commercial Advisor at the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Erbil, who is returning to the Republic of Türkiye upon completion of his assignment.
Mr. Kemal Beg has been one of the active advisors who played an important role in establishing and strengthening trade relations between companies and businesses in the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Türkiye, as well as contributing to the advancement of commercial and industrial cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining and further strengthening the friendly and trade relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Türkiye, as well as expanding economic and commercial cooperation and creating further opportunities for mutual investment and business partnerships.
At the conclusion of the meeting, (Mr. Rasoul Haji Omer )expressed his sincere appreciation to (Mr. Kemal Beg )for his valuable efforts and continued cooperation throughout his tenure, particularly his support for the business sector and companies in the Kurdistan Region also presented to( Mr. Kemal Beg) in recognition of his efforts and contributions.
( Mr. Rasoul Haji Omer ) also extended his best wishes to Mr. Kemal Beg for continued success, prosperity, and achievement in his future professional and personal endeavors.
